Thursday 17 October 2013

I have an exhibition Wendy Cain & Christine Benson opening on Saturday October 19 from 2 to 4 p.m. at The Art Gallery of Northumberland in Cobourg at Victoria Hall, 55 King Street West, 3rd floor. Show runs until November 23, 2013. More information on the gallery website www.artgalleryofnorthumberland.com.

Victoria Hall is a magnificant historical building in beautiful Cobourg. Both the building and the town are worth visiting as well as coming to see the exhibition. Christine and I have produced five collaborative works for this show as well as large bodies of works that reflect the theme of landscape.

Come and help celebrate.

Sunday 4 August 2013

Garden season continues despite optimistically thinking that once the initial weeding and mulching is done it will stay that way. Vegetables are starting to develop so that we can do some of the hundred mile diet but reducing it to the hundred yard diet.

The next show is Shipwreck Dreaming at the John M. Parrott Gallery, 254 Pinnacle Street, Belleville, ON from September 5 to 19, opening on September 5 from 6 to 7:30.

garden season

There is not a lot happening in the studio right now because we are in the very beginning of the gardening season in eastern Ontario and with our short compressed growing season everything happens at once and needs to be done yesterday. Wait until the planting is done to see the next series which is in my head now.

Next art event

In the village of Newburgh Ontario on Saturday June 15, Art Among the Ruins will run from 10:00 to 5:00 with 55 exhibitors.
